About the IS200AEPAH1AFD
Manufactured with the capability to connect an optional auxiliary board, the IS200AEPAH1AFD board is labeled simply as a printed circuit board. If you have decided to use an optional auxiliary board, it will communicate with the AEPA board via two-pin connectors. The two-pin connectors used for the communication between the auxiliary board and the AEPA board are male pin connectors located in the top left corner of the board. Some other components of this board are two three-plug connectors, six metal oxide varistors (MOVs), and many others. The MOVs on this board are lined up together and located in the upper right-hand corner and are red in color.
When the IS200AEPAH1AFD board has been mounted in the Mark VI Turbine Control System, it will be located in a VME rack. The VME rack will have twenty-one or thirteen slots. This board will only occupy one VME slot. There are multiple redundancy models that the AEPA board can be used with, such as simplex, dual, or triple redundancy. The board can actually be used with several of these redundancy types at the same time, depending on what you have decided to run the model on.
There are two different types of communication that can be used with the IS200AEPAH1AFD model: IONet or Unit Data Highway (UDH). The UDH is an Ethernet-based LAN that allows for communication with not only other boards in the Mark VI System but also the Fanuc family of PLC-based controls, which are also made by General Electric, as well as EX2000 Generator Excitation Controls. The other systems that can be used can be found in the GER-4193A Turbine Control System Instruction Guide.
