Overview
  • The Foxboro FBM207/FBM217 are discrete input interface modules that provide 32 input channels for either voltage monitoring or contact sense applications. The modules are part of the Compact 200 Series I/O subsystem and are designed for use with the Foxboro I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS).
  • The FBM207/FBM217 modules accept a wide range of input signals, including:
  1. 15 to 60 V dc for contact sense
  2. 120 V ac/125 V dc for voltage monitoring or switch inputs
  3. 240 V ac for voltage monitoring or switch inputs
  • Each input channel is galvanically isolated to protect the module from damage due to ground faults or other electrical disturbances. The modules also provide a number of features that enhance their reliability and performance, such as:
  1. Configurable input filter time
  2. Pulse count capability
  3. Redundant module support
