1. Redundant ModuleBus Cable Adaptor: When used alongside the TB845 and two TK801V0xx modules, the TB846 creates a redundant connection within the ModuleBus. This ensures continued operation even if one cable fails, maximizing system uptime and reliability.
2. Optical Extension of ModuleBus: The TB846 can also be paired with the TB842 unit to extend the reach of the ModuleBus network using fiber optic cables. This is particularly beneficial for applications where longer distances need to be bridged between control systems and I/O devices.
