A Strong Partnership for a Greener Future

Siemens and E.ON are collaborating to revolutionize electric vehicle (EV) charging across Europe. They have signed a global framework agreement to strengthen E.ON’s public charging network. This partnership aims to create a more efficient, reliable, and scalable charging system for millions of electric vehicles.

Advanced Chargers for Modern Needs

The agreement includes Siemens’ SICHARGE D high-power chargers, which offer flexibility with multiple charge points on one grid connection. Customers will benefit from various payment options such as Worldline Valina, ensuring convenience across regions with diverse requirements.

Smart Solutions for Real-Time Control

E.ON will gain access to Siemens’ Sifinity Control, a web-based backend service that offers comprehensive visibility into the charging stations. This system allows E.ON to monitor and manage the network effectively, ensuring maximum charger uptime and reliability for users.

Additionally, Siemens will supply IoT-enabled substations to efficiently manage energy distribution and intelligently control the charging infrastructure.

Long-Term Service for High Availability

Siemens’ service offerings go beyond hardware. They provide custom service packages that cover the entire lifespan of the infrastructure. This approach ensures that drivers experience reliable, high-quality charging every time, further enhancing customer satisfaction.

Expanding Across Europe

The agreement will strengthen charging infrastructure in several key European markets, including Germany, Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. E.ON plans to add 1,000 new public high-power charging points per year under this framework. Siemens and E.ON will also explore future-proof solutions such as truck charging and Megawatt charging to meet growing demand.

Rigorous Testing Ensures Reliability

The SICHARGE D chargers, compliant with Deutschlandnetz requirements and the German calibration law (Eichrecht), have been rigorously tested at E.ON’s e-mobility lab in Essen, Germany. This ensures the system’s field readiness and reliability for everyday use.

Siemens and E.ON’s Vision for the Future

Siemens and E.ON’s collaboration is part of a shared vision for a greener, more sustainable future. By combining reliable hardware, intelligent software, and tailored services, they aim to create an optimized, scalable, and reliable charging experience across Europe.
