The Foxboro FBM233 is a redundant field device system integrator module that provides 10/100 Mbps Ethernet communication for harsh environments. It is designed to connect to a variety of field devices, including sensors, actuators, and controllers. The FBM233 collects data from these devices, converts it into a standard format, and then stores it in its database. This data can then be used by Foxboro DCS plant management functions and operator displays. The FBM233 can also be used to write data to the individual devices from the Foxboro DCS system.
